Sub: Indian Chapter of Association of Top Achiever Scouts (ATAS)  Formation Gathering

         26th June 2010 at Bengaluru, Karnataka.

 

Dear Sir/Madam,

 

We are happy to inform you that for the retention of outgoing Rashtrapati  Scouts and Rovers in the  organization and for taking up future leadership and to support the activities of the Scout Association, it is proposed to form the Indian Chapter of Association of Top Achiever Scouts. The first formal gathering of ATAS Indian Chapter is scheduled to be held on 26th June 2010 at Bengaluru, Karnataka in conjunction with the 7th Top Scout Leaders Summit from 24th to 27th June 2010 ,where 25 National Scout Organisations with over 140 Top delegates  are participating. There will be atleast 80 to 100 overseas  participants .

 

The Eligibility for the membership of Association of Top Achievers Scout are:

 

  1. Who are President Scout/ President Rover Awardee (Rashtrapati Awardee).
  2. Completed 25 years of age.
  3. Who has settled in personal and professional life (students are not eligible).
  4. Willing to support the activities of Bharat Scouts and Guides at different levels.

 

Details regarding the Gathering.

 

  1. Name of Event           - Association of Top Achievers Scout (ATAS) Gathering.
  2. Venue                         - Shanti Gruha, Girl Guide Headquarters, The Bharat Scouts and Guides,
                                          39, Palace Road, Bengaluru- 560 001 Karnataka, Next to Maharani
                                          Science College and opposite to Atria Hotel,
  3. Date & Time              - 26th June 2010 at 1100 A.M to 0900 P.M.
  4. Who can attend          - Prospective members and existing members of ATAS.
  5. Reporting                   - Before 1030 A.M. on 26th June 2010.
  6. Departure                   - After 0900 P.M. on 26th June 2010.
  7. Hospitality                     Free Hospitality will be provided on the day of gathering.
  8. Financial Assistance  - No financial assistance will be provided.

   The Traveling Expenses is to be borne by the participants      themselves.

9.   What to bring -The members are requested to bring the copy of the President/  
                                     
Rashtrapati Scout/Rover Certificate duly attested along with Two  
                                      Passport size Photographs(Preferable in Scout Uniform) and business /
                                      visiting card.

10. Assistance Booth    - With support of local Railway Scouts �Assistance Booths� will be
                                        opened in Bangalore City, Yeshwathpur and Krishnarajapurem
                                        Railway Stations on Platform No. 1 from afternoon of 25th June to
                                        forenoon of 26th June 2010. Same type of booth will be operated at
                                       �Bengalurur International Airport�.

 

11. ATAS Badges     - All the participants will be presented specially designed �ATAS
                                             Badge�
by the President of ATAS of World, Mr. Simon Rhee who is
                                             also the Vice Chairman of  World  Scout Committee, WOSM.

The State Associations are requested to give wide publicity and the details of the Gathering of ATAS among former President/Rashtrapati Scouts / Rovers of their State Associations and extend support for the formation of Indian Chapter of ATAS in order to further strengthen  the Scout Movement

 

The Application form is enclosed herewith for membership, which has to be submitted at the time of Registration at Bengaluru.
