ATAS MADHYAPRADESH LAUNCHING CEREMONY

 ATAS India, Madhya-Pradesh State launched on 26 June 2011 in a gathering of over 200 ATAS members at the State Headquarters of Madhya-Pradesh Bharat Scouts and Guides, Bhopal-India.

President Scout of 1965 and District Chief Justice Mr Gulab Sharma together with President Scout 1970 and Police Superintendent Economical Crime Research Mr. Mahendra Sing Sikarwar, President Rover Scout 1981 and Director, Administration and Finance, World Scout Bureau/APR Mr. S.Prassanna Shrivastava # ATAS21 attended the full day gathering sharing experiences.

While sharing experiences, the gathering expressed that Scouting had contributed immensely to their personality and life of what they are today, Chief Justice Gulab Sharma expressed that it is now time for all of us to contribute back in supporting Scouting so that the present and upcoming generations could also be benefited from the this great Movement and help building a better societies.

During the gathering, the State Secretary M.P. Bharat Scouts and Guides and ATAS#164 gave an overview of presently Scouting in India and M. P. State where as Prassanna Shrivastava gave an update on World Scouting and purpose of ATAS and its achievement since its establishment in 2005.

Messages received from President of ATAS World Mr. Simon Rhee, National Commissioner Bharat Scouts and Guides Mr. L. M. Jain and Madhya-Pradesh Chief Commissioner Mr. Jitendra Singh Bundela was read by ATAS members from M.P.

The gathering nominated 15 members for MP ATAS management with coordinators from each districts who will further get in contact with President Scouts/Guides/Rovers/Rangers and invite them to join ATAS and also to organize future gatherings and activities as per the objectives of ATAS TOR for members.

On the occasion Mr. Kunal Mishra ATAS#301, member of ATAS India handed over the ATAS Flag to Mr. Gulab Sharma the President of the new chapter adhoc committee and on behalf of the ATAS World Management Committee and courtesy of Mr. Eric Khoo, Mr. S. Prassanna presented ATAS Patches to all new members. The host Scout Organization presented a T-Shirt to all members attended this gathering.

The Gathering was very well planned and organized by the local core ATAS group including the hosting of a sumptuous lunch and two snacks. A souvenir (booklet) is being prepared that is expected to be released soon.

During the day, there were several instances where it was noted that many old friends, fellow patrol members have become emotional being met after a gap of over 10,20 or more years and now were recommitting that through this fellowship that ATAS has extended they would never distant again.

The gathering ended thanking the MP Bharat Scouts and Guides for providing the venue and to one and all for their efforts in the start of ATAS Madhya-Pradesh.

Kunal Mishra was an excellent anchor who kept the large gathering fully charged and enthusiastic for the full day.
